Dolphins!

Pete and Amanda suggested that we do a dolphin cruise and it was the highlight of our trip. We drove to downtown Destin to catch the boat. The trip was two hours and included all you could drink (which was not much for us). We saw plenty of dolphins, a jumping stingray, parasails, WWII airplanes, and the sun sinking into the water at sunset.  Pete and Sawyer The deck hand making sure we all have a good time! Relaxation

The condo had a beautiful pool and patio set-up overlooking the bay, which included two hot tubs and several grills. We had a great time swimming, cooking dinner, and letting the kids play while we enjoyed the view.  Our lovely friends, the Faleschinis

A night out in Sandestin

One evening we ventured out to explore the village near our condo at the Sandestin resort. We ate dinner on a lovely patio, listened to live music, and walked around the complex. The kids had a great time riding the carousel and seeing the Halloween decorations. It was weird to think that it was October because we spent the day in swimming suits and were enjoying the warm evening.  Our condo The light above the walkway into our condo

A little getaway

Our friends, the Faleschinis, invited us to join them at a condo near Destin, FL and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to hang out with friends and play at the beach. The drive was a little long but the destination was worth it. Destin is very lovely and the beach was amazing! The water was warm and clear, perfect for swimming. We could even see fish swimming around our feet in the shallow water (which took a minute to get used to but was really cool after awhile). Rowan is a natural snorkeler; he loved floating on top of the water and watching the fish through his goggles. The sand was beautiful too; it was very white and almost looked like wet sugar or salt. It is one of my favorite beaches and I can't wait to go back!  Our friends Amanda, Sawyer, and Izzy
