As this blog has now become my only journal (the last handwritten one ends when Rowan was born), it would probably be a good idea to make mention of what I'm up to these days. I recently published several new websites; one in particular was particularly satisfying to finish as I have been working on it for awhile (I call it my thesis in IRBs). I work for the University of Virginia's IRB-SBS and I'm in charge of managing, among other things, the office website . What? You don't know what an IRB is? Here is the thrilling detail: an IRB reviews research protocols where the researcher wants to study and collect data from people.
