As this blog has now become my only journal (the last handwritten one ends when Rowan was born), it would probably be a good idea to make mention of what I'm up to these days.
I recently published several new websites; one in particular was particularly satisfying to finish as I have been working on it for awhile (I call it my thesis in IRBs). I work for the University of Virginia's IRB-SBS and I'm in charge of managing, among other things, the office website. What? You don't know what an IRB is? Here is the thrilling detail: an IRB reviews research protocols where the researcher wants to study and collect data from people. So next time you feel like a human guinea pig, thank your local IRB for coming to your rescue. My new website features some darling models, don't you think? I was also happy to publish a site for my mom and her art business (BTW, if you need a card for Mother's Day, check out her Etsy site!) and I'm so proud of her for her amazing work. I am the secretary for our neighborhood HOA and for our neighborhood women's club and I published sites for both organizations.
Despite my best intentions of swearing off doing photography, I find myself with continuous engagements to take pictures. I recently created a photography blog so I could have a place to post some of my work.
Somewhere in the spare minutes between work, helping with homework, and cooking dinner, I'm trying to practice the piano (because otherwise that thing is an expensive piece of furniture!) through the help of my friend, Sarah. I'm also enjoying swimming laps a few times a week and working on my vegetable garden.
Ok, that's enough of me for a long time.
